ThinkGeek’s Project Manager will work directly with both internal and external clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. The Associate will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are on track and on time, giving all stakeholders visibility into the project status at all times. Associate will interact with his or her supervisor as needed by either. Most routine decisions may be made without a supervisor’s prior approval. Some non-routine activities may require supervisor’s and/or leadership’s advance approval.

  • Organize & maintain consistent, effective, scalable, and repeatable project management plans and processes utilizing standard methodologies
  • Oversee project plans including, but not limited to, assisting project owner in defining project scope, goals and deliverables, identifying stakeholders and desired project outcomes, creating actionable objectives and timelines, securing resources, measuring and reporting on status to stakeholders as needed
  • Prepare project status, and issue reports; analyze and report on project metrics and trends to ensure projects remain within budget, on schedule, and achieve excellent quality criteria
  • Provide project metrics, analysis, guidance, and direction utilizing individual and aggregated project data to drive profitable, sustainable decisions, while building and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Monitor, communicate, and escalate problems, solutions, budgets, resources, timelines, and quality control of projects.
  • Work with cross-functional teams both internally and with the vendors and licensors (where necessary) to aid each area in achieving the project goals
  • Work directly with select vendors and manufacturers to assist in the project management of large product development programs
  • Be wholly responsible for submitting and managing product approvals with Licensors when necessary
  • Organize and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders, providing concise agendas, keeping meetings on task and on time and executing specific action points and follow up
  • Manage relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization; adhere consistently with all organizational policies related to our respectful workplace.
  • Model team commitment by adhering to the team's expectations and guidelines; fulfilling team responsibilities; and demonstrating personal commitment to the team by being cooperative, collaborative, and flexible.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics or related field from an accredited program required
  • 3-5 years of successful project management experience preferably in a consumer goods setting
  • Project management certification highly desirable
  • Expert project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities
  • Expert ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others internally and externally
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and concisely
  • Possess the learning capacity to receive and apply cross-functional training; willingness to assist other functions and work groups as needed so the department achieves or exceeds its overall business objectives
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs, especially Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of the consumer products, manufacturing, pop culture, and/or video gaming industries
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities with promptness, efficiency and ease
